Tahoe Silicon Mountain rebrands as Lift Truckee, and a new chapter for the community begins.
Lift Truckee is the successor to Tahoe Silicon Mountain, a long-standing nonprofit dedicated to supporting the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Following a decade of hosting educational and entrepreneurial events, Tahoe Silicon Mountain is proud to announce an evolution to the Lift Truckee Foundation to grow a shared mission of supporting social enterprises, entrepreneurship, education, and community resilience.

Our evolving community and educational programming includes events open to all - learning lunches, wellness workshops, climate gatherings, entrepreneurial groups, film screenings, and art showcases.

Young Entrepreneurs Club
Along with the Truckee Chamber and Sierra Business Council, Lift Workspace is co-hosting the Truckee Tahoe Young Entrepreneurs Club, a new initiative designed to support and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs in our region. The club is student-led by Truckee High School senior Saim Mian, who wanted to create a space where young people could learn real entrepreneurial skills and build their ideas into action.
Learning Lunches
At least once a month, we host a Learning Lunch they range across a variety of topics from health and wellness, to finance, AI, building relationship skills, and more.
Sometimes we run a series on a particular topic for a few months to build upon a subject matter over time.
Learning Lunches are at no cost.
Truckee Climate Hub hosts guest speakers, panels, and other events featuring climate related businesses and topics from renewable energy and wildfire to AI solutions and more. It's a great way to meet like-minded professionals working in energy, renewables, and climate.
This meet-up is part of Lift Truckee's investment into social enterprises and building a vibrant and sustainable planet.

Each month, local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit owners gather and connect in a peer-to-peer mentoring series, held in partnership with local co-working spaces and businesses.
Attendees have a turn to discuss their most pressing or top of mind business issue and get input and advice from others in their group.

Join us monthly for hands-on sessions focused on enhancing physical health and performance. Wellness Workshops take place every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Nonprofit in Residence
Since 1997, the Truckee River Legacy Foundation has led the effort to protect, restore and provide access to the Truckee River for future generations. The organization is committed to revitalize, restore, protect, and provide sustainable access to the Truckee River for future generations to enjoy and celebrate.Truckee River Legacy Foundation sponsors and leads restoration and revitalization projects on and around the Truckee River. A major focus has been the Truckee River Legacy Trail, which is on-going and will eventually reach from Tahoe City to the Nevada state line.
La Fuerza Latina Agency Entrepreneurs in Residence
La Fuerza Latina Agency is a women of color-owned marketing and PR firm rooted in Truckee. Founded by locals Marlyn Angeles and Leslie Caratachea, the agency blends strategic storytelling with cultural authenticity to amplify voices often left out of mainstream narratives. Their work bridges the gap between higher education and professional opportunity, offering pathways for Latinx youth to return home and thrive. One of their current initiatives is working with the Friends of the Truckee Library to build a digital campaign for the new library.
